The Trossachs hills mark the dividing 'Highland Line' and, though their peaks may be humbler than those further north, the Trossachs' green uplands still dwarf the Lowland plain to the south.

Situated within an original doocot and cattle court, the House of Menzies features work by contemporary Scottish artists, potters and silversmiths. There is also a wine tasting and sales area with over 300 New World wines, and a wide range of Scottish delicatessen products.

A circular path takes walkers across ancient woodland-covered crags to St David's Well, a natural spring named after a 15th-century local laird who lived as a hermit in one of the caves on the hillside. Look out for sculptures.

Imposing 16-century castle restored by the Menzies Clan Society. Seat of the clans chiefs for over 400 years, Castle Menzies was involved in a number of historic events.
