Day I Found It

Our Canadian Canoe adventure in July 2007 took us from Glasgow along the Forth & Clyde Canal, then onto the Union Canal to Edinburgh Quay, camping as we went. This took us 7 1/2 days. Day 6, a bit the worse for wear (think The Ancient Mariners), we were welcomed to The Park Bistro, where we enjoyed a treat of tea and toasted teacakes served by a pleasant staff member in very comfy surroundings. After which, we rolled back to our canoe, refreshed and ready to continue. A member of staff signed one of their cards to witness we had paddled there!
