Day I Found It

Last year when my dad was visiting me from Durham, we went to Stonehaven. A friend had mentioned The Boathouse, so after walking along the beach on the boardwalk we found it. Wonderful!! Small and friendly - gorgeous homemade food (I had Cullen Skink) and as it is positioned right beside the sea. You feel as though you are on a wee island! Binoculars are provided to look out of the windows at the seas and if you're lucky dolphins! The cafe and tables are very clean and this year they have added a small patio area with outside tables and chairs. Dad and I go back every time he visits. Brilliant!!
