Day I Found It

Chasing this years exlusive summer sun down at the beautiful and historic harbour of Covve, my wife Andrina and I engaged some locals who were discovering the sculptures erected to commemorate the Eyemouth fishing disaster of 1881. Enquiring if they know of a good tearoom, they recommended the Fuschia Centre at Houndwood. What a gem - small and unpretencious, but serving delicious home made scones (the home made sausage rolls had sold out!) with proper tea with a pot of hot water. A picture caught my eye - Coldingham Sands covered in snow when the sea froze over in 2000. This was our next destination where we set up our deckchairs on the beach to enjoy the late afternoon sun.
