Our courtyard café is located in the Scottish Borders home of the Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry KT, a 19th century house in beautiful countryside. Outstanding collection of paintings, silverware, porcelain and French furniture. Relics of Duke of Monmouth, Queen Victoria and Sir Walter Scott.

 

Day I Found It

I was out for a drive around the beautiful Borders with my mother and a friend. We saw Bowhill signs going through Selkirk and drove up a long drive with lovely pastureland and lochs and woods, into a carpark by a courtyard with a gorgeous tearoom, bright and spotlessly clean with trellis and flowers growing up. Lovely chocolate cake fresh from the oven, excellent coffee and a free refill!
